Movement organizations without funding from everyday people don’t have a mandate to exist. In order to be a movement that represents people in the fight for justice, you have to prove that they support your work enough to buy into it.

The Grassroots Fundraising Bootcamp teaches movement fundraisers how to harness the potential of small donations to power their work so we can win the world of our dreams in our lifetime.

Combining digital fundraising training that focuses on email, texting, social media fundraising with tried and true methods like phone banking and mail appeals, you’ll learn everything you need to know to run a strong grassroots campaign.

  • This course has 5 live-taught modules.

    1) All the ways we raise grassroots dollars and best practices for each of them

    2) Writing workshop for grassroots fundraisers (covers email, social media, and phone and text scripts)

    3) Project planning and management of campaigns

    4) Making data-driven decisions

    5) Stewardship 101

    Please note: this course does not include a grassroots fundraising drive intensive as we offer this in a separate course.

  • This course has three clear outcomes:

    1) Participants understand best practices in grassroots fundraising.

    2) Participants feel able and confident in their ability to write emails, texts, social media posts, and phone bank scripts to raise money for the movement.

    3) Participants understand why stewardship matters and can create plans to steward donors.

    The organizations she works for often have a higher than average percentage of gifts coming from donors under $500. Her approach is based in everyday language that inspires people to give to fund our shared movement—not jargon or matches.
